Panel: Surging Demand for Data Centers

Our Principal, Kibri Hutchison Everett, joined the League of Women Voters of Charlotte-Mecklenburg, and Charlotte Mecklenburg Climate Leaders for an important discussion about the surging demand for data centers and their implications for our communities on Tuesday, June 23rd.

As AI and digital infrastructure continue to expand, communities across North Carolina are grappling with questions about energy demand, water resources, noise, land use, and quality of life, making it one of the most important infrastructure issues facing our region.

These conversations are not simply about technology. They are about how we plan for growth in ways that are transparent, equitable, and informed by both science and community voices.
