Key Environmental Consulting is proud to share that we have helped secure funding with Michael Baker International Engineering Consulting group to enhance the Environmental Justice agency goals at the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). Our role in this project will focus on public involvement and Environmental Justice as it relates to transportation construction impacts, policy, and decision-making.
Several factors, including public input, safety, costs, and environmental impacts, are essential components to the construction of transportation. Therefore, Key Environmental finds itself in a unique position to contribute to these efforts through public involvement efforts. Our subject-matter experts will navigate the complexities that can arise through the entire operation by establishing clear qualitative and quantitative performance metrics that will provide transparency and accountability. These efforts align with the Agency's core Environmental Justice principles and their proactive approach to engaging historically underrepresented voices throughout the project lifecycle.
This project will equip the public with the necessary resources for meaningful participation in the decision-making process through tailored outreach an education strategies.
