Environmental Project Manager
The Environmental Project Manager will lead and oversee multiple environmental projects, ensuring successful execution from conception through completion. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and technical expertise to address environmental challenges and opportunities in collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Oversight:
Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of environmental projects, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and timeline objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain relationships with clients, community leaders, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries.

Strategic Planning:
Develop project plans, establish milestones, and allocate resources effectively to achieve project goals.

Technical Expertise:
Provide advanced technical assistance to community members and stakeholders on environmental and agricultural projects.

Research & Analysis:
Oversee research on environmental and agricultural issues, including regulatory frameworks and case studies, to inform project strategies and decisions.

Proposal Development:
Guide the preparation of executive summaries, project descriptions, and narratives for grant proposals and other funding opportunities.

Team Coordination:
Supervise and mentor Environmental Project Coordinators and other team members

Communication:
Transform complex technical content into accessible formats for diverse audiences, including social media, reports, proposals, and presentations.

Reporting:
Monitor project progress, produce detailed reports, and present outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.

Travel:
Occasionally travel to project sites and community meetings, primarily within the Carolinas.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Earth Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum 5 years of applied experience in environmental project management or a related role.

Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary projects with diverse stakeholders.

Strong technical writing, organizational, and project management skills.
-
Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
-
Proficiency in GIS and data analysis.

Pay Range
$62,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year or $29.80 to $40.85 an hour

Environmental Project Coordinator
This position involves providing technical and administrative support for multiple environmental projects, under general supervision.

Primary duties include:

Collaborating with subject matter experts, community leaders, project managers, and technical teams to gather information and data related to environmental and agricultural projects.

Providing technical assistance to community members and others on the frontlines.
-
Conducting research on environmental and agricultural issues, regulatory frameworks, and relevant case studies to inform proposal content.

Developing compelling executive summaries, project descriptions, and narratives for proposals.
-
Transforming technical and scientific content into clear, concise, and persuasive content for social media, technical reports, proposals, and other documents.

Analyzing and presenting information related to environmental disparities, impacts, and community needs to support proposals and reports.

Traveling occasionally to work with clients in the Carolinas.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, or related field

3-5 years of applied environmental work experience

Excellent writing, organizational, and project management skills

Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

Ability to collaborate with diverse technical and non-technical individuals

GIS skills, preferred.

Pay Range:
$44,499.00 to $62,729.00 per year or $21.50 to $30.15 an hour
